Accelerate İzmir is the Growth Strategy Validation Programme, targeting companies that have the ambition to grow nationally and internationally.

Companies receive dedicated coaching, interactive training, one to one consultancy, support with investment.

To participate, you need to be in ICT or Renewable Energy, have a team of at least two people, be established (or plan to establish) in the greater İzmir region, have a product in prototype and know where your customers are. Click here for more information.

İzmir NIC Startup Fundamentals Series delivered a range of one day seminars and workshops covering key issues relating to starting and growing successful, sustainable businesses in the İzmir ecosystem.

    • Product Development, UI/UX and IPR Protection
    • Marketing
    • Sales
    • Cashflow and Financial Management
    • Team Building and Leadership
    • Early-stage funding and investment process

                İzmir NIC Ecosystem Growth Programme is delivered in two parts:

                • An intensive capacity building programme was delivered to ecosystem members enhancing their capability to support innovative entrepreneurs within the region to become vehicles for employment, economic growth and export success.
                • In parallel, a partnership strategy was developed between ecosystem members to strengthen the ecosystem, ensure complementary services are available and provide the basis for future growth and success.

                İzmir NIC Talks were designed to increase the awareness of all İzmir NIC programmes within the regional innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

                • A Fireside Chat took place with successful growth businesses where they share their experiences, challenges and ambitions.

                • İzmir NIC Talks included a keynote address covering a topic of general interest global technology and market trends, innovation at the intersection of technologies, technology and market landscapes etc.

                İzmir NIC Meetups brought together local scaleup companies from the Accelerate İzmir programme with potential partners who could help with their growth.

                • Topics included Internationalisation and Corporate-startup Connections. Each topic was the subject of two Meetups, one for each Accelerate Izmir cohort.
                • Each İzmir NIC Meetup started with a presentation by important stakeholders from the topic of the meetup, allowing each one to present how they address the issue and what support they could give companies.
                • A second session saw a number of 20 minute one-to-one discussions between the stakeholders and scaleups.
                • The aim was for each company to meet with each stakeholder and identify potential partnership opportunities.
